Kandy is referred to as Sri Lanka’s cultural capital.
The second-largest city in Sri Lanka is Kandy. Colombo is 115 kilometers away. This city is a long way off. The story will include our current travels. How to travel to Kandy City at a very inexpensive price on a local bus. A thorough itinerary will also be provided for this excursion.

Why did I return the scooty ?
Our journey is going to start from Colombo we start from Colombo by bike in the morning for Negombo. That is because we will return our scooty today. Will visit Negombo again as we rent scooty from Negombo. We thought a lot. If we want to visit all the cities of Sri Lanka with a scooter, it will be very difficult. Because we had very little time. We get a maximum of two days to tour a city. For that we give back the scooty.
Negombo to Kandy by local bus!
After returning the scooter, I went to the Nigam bus stand for 350 Sri Lankan rupees. From here we left for Negombo to Kandy by local bus. There are no good quality buses available here except local buses. Our fare on this bus was 430 Sri Lankan rupees per person.

Caution before boarding local bus.
Always be careful before boarding a local bus. Local buses pick up people from different places apart from the bus stand. They climb as long as there is room to step. For that you will try to take a seat in advance. Never sit in front, try to sit two or three seats behind. Because there is a lot of pressure in front.
And if for some reason, like me, you have to give up the seat. Then, you must completely stand. And then you will understand what suffering is and how many types it is.
The local bus experience.
You can mingle with the local people of Sri Lanka while traveling by local bus. They are really good hearted people. They always try to help tourists. Never misbehave with them in any matter.
If you want to get a true taste of traveling in a country, you should visit a local at least once. After taking a local bus you will understand how people are, how they behave.
The winding road through the mountains is going towards Kandy with scenic views on both sides. You can enjoy the natural beauty to some extent.

Fast impression candy!
When you go to a city for the first time in your life, you feel better. If it is Kandy, the cultural city of Sri Lanka, then you understand. I left for the hotel with a deep breath.
the hotel
Hotels are usually located on the ridge. I think the price goes up a bit the higher up the hill Rome takes. The hotel we stayed at. The atmosphere of that hotel was really amazing. We rented this hotel for 4000 Sri Lankan rupees per day. Non AC room. As the climate in Kandy is temperate, we don’t need AC.

Sri Lankan food.
After getting fresh, I went out for food. Find a good food hotel from the hotel manager. I went to the Muslim hotel next to the Kandy clock tower. The food at the Muslim hotel was very tasty. Comparatively food prices were low. Due to lack of time, there was no more wandering that day. My body was tired so I came home and fell asleep that day.
